BoJack Horseman
I hate to say this—I really enjoyed watching BoJack Horseman. I was able to really appreciate how the writers made every single character have their own struggles and fear the idea of their own downfall. One of the best series that have a good balance of comedy and existential dreading feelings.
Breaking Bad
Though, (I cant lie) I enjoyed this series and was able to connect with the characters (Jesse and Skyler mainly), it wasn’t as powerful as the one and only Breaking Bad prequel: Better Call Saul. Five seasons and a six day straight binge later, I couldn’t get myself to like Walter White or any part of his character (yes, I am saying I hate Walter White). He did everything wrong—not to mention he was very horrible person and did horrible things. (this is who you guys like?). All jokes aside season four and five were very good. The best written season in the while series. You could say I took my Breaking Bad first watch very serious, I would even call it unhealthy when the “cliff-hanger” episodes brought me to stay up past four in the morning every night (this resulting me having a horrible sleep schedule. In other words I don’t recommend). Be warned watching Breaking Bad will leave you with fatigue and sad about a character Aaron Paul played.
Glass Onion
I hate sequels—but I loved Glass Onion.
I love Knives out (2019), it was a film I watched often while I cried myself to sleep (yes this is true, along with The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the TV series Community). I watched it so often that my parents came to identify the opening season in seconds. With this being said, it’s painfully, sadly obvious that I adore Knives Out. When Glass Onion came out I was hesitating to watch it, only because I really hate sequels. I despise (because it’s very common) when writers try to poorly make the sequel better than the original—but this was not the case for Glass Onion, thankfully. It’s in the Knives Out universe, but this story is it own separate thing. Its lovely to see how they took a different turn here. I had this mindset that this would ruin Knives Out for me completely. Now, here I am typing the words to state: Glass Onion is better than Knives Out.
White Lotus
I finally gave White Lotus a chance. Yes, after two years just watching the White Lotus win multiple times during various awards show, I thought now would be a good time. (Plus Aubrey Plaza starred in the second season…obviously I’m going to watch). The first season was enjoyable in some parts—but sadly lacked action (of any kind). The second season of White Lotus is the reason I am anticipating the release of season three. White Lotus second season is TV. Phenomenal writing, well written characters, and hot people.
